Corporal Linz served in a mule pack battery in WWII. They transported a 75mm gun that broke down in various parts on the backs of mules. He fought throughout Europe and in the Pacific for the island of Kiska. He was a member of one of the few Army units to fight on both fronts. This certificate was created using three of his old photos and a old Xerox paper copy of the group photo that he received at a 1980s reunion. It was torn, worn and had multiple creases throughout. Also, the right side had a large coffee stain on it. We were able to retouch and repair the image and use it on the certificate. Carl left the army at the end of the war and became a carpenter.

Using only photos from a family's collection, we were able to create this certificate that shows a grandfather's Navy service history as an elisted pilot.

This is a certificate that a family member wanted to commemorate her Grandfather's service in the Navy during the 1930s. She sent us the photos and the details of his service. He was one of the few enlisted pilots in the Navy and flew the Curtiss F11-C off the Saratoga. The Saratoga was one of the Navy's first aircraft carriers and was originally a Navy cruiser that was converted in 1922. The Saratoga went on to fight in World War II and was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine.
She was repaired and went on to fight throughout the rest of the war. The Sarotoga was sunk in 1946 by the US Navy during nuclear testing in the Bikini Atolls. John Barlow left the Navy in 1937 after a serious injury sustained during a crash landing. He lived to be 93 and had a prosperous career as a fuel broker.
